Overview

Connecting your Cisco Meraki organization to Boundless is the first step to unlocking the platform's full capabilities. This secure integration uses Meraki's OAuth 2.0 framework, which means you can safely connect your organization without ever sharing your login credentials with Boundless. This guide outlines the preparations and steps required to complete this secure connection

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • Full access permissions in your Cisco Meraki dashboard for the organization you want to connect
  • Confirmed that your Meraki organization isn't already connected to this Boundless workspace

Steps to Connect Your Organization

1. Start the connection process

Go to the Organizations page in Boundless and click the Add Organization button. You'll be redirected to the Cisco Meraki dashboard login page.

2. Log in to Meraki

If prompted, enter your Meraki credentials. You'll see an authorization message asking you to grant Boundless permission to access your Meraki data.

3. Select your organization

From the dropdown menu, choose the Meraki organization you want to connect to your workspace.Note: If you don't see your organization in the list, it may already be connected to another Boundless workspace.

4. Authorize the connection

Click the Allow button to complete the authorization. Boundless will automatically redirect you back to the platform.

5. Confirm the connection

Once you're back in Boundless, you should see:

  • A success message confirming the connection
  • Your newly added organization listed with a Connected status

Troubleshooting:
  • If you don't see your organization right away, try refreshing the page. If the issue continues, contact Boundless support for assistance.
  • If the organization displays a 'Restricted' status, it indicates a barrier is preventing Boundless from accessing Meraki data. For more information on how to troubleshoot this issue, read this article: Understanding and Managing Organization Statuses.
